California Chiastiolite(Andalusite cross stone)

16x13x4.5mm 6.95ct Chiastiolite (andalusite cross stone) from California. It is a hand cut custom cabochon cut in house. The layering is not as distinct in person as it shows in the picture. This piece does not actually display a cross but just more of a random pattern. The back is not finished. This cab is hand cut and polished, it is not preformed and then tumbled in a rotary or vibrating tumbler like most cheaper priced cabs are often done. The cab would benefit from being oiled as it would get rid of the layering appearance.
